Here's a summary of responsibilities: The Fueling Coordinator is responsible for activating, coordinating, and maintaining a comprehensive seven-day-per-week fueling and hydration program that supports high-performance athletes training for elite-level competition. This position works collaboratively with sport dietitians, athletes, coaches, National Governing Bodies (NGBs), Athlete Life programs, vendors, and Food & Nutrition staff to ensure athletes have access to appropriate nutritional and hydration resources before, during, and after training.

Program Coordination & Planning
Coordinate and maintain a seven-day-per-week fueling and hydration program across the Colorado Springs campus.
Participate in pre-camp planning meetings to identify requests for fueling, hydration, and nutritional support requirements for athletes and sport programs.
Collaborate with sport dietitians to understand camp-specific and athlete-specific fueling needs and implement appropriate support strategies.
Serve as the primary point of coordination for fueling-related activities across training and recovery environments.
Inventory Management & Purchasing
Monitor, track, and maintain inventory of fueling products, including beverages, snacks, smoothies, and related supplies.
Purchase and replenish products for fueling stations and designated athlete support areas.
Maintain accurate records of product usage and consumption trends.
Procure equipment, displays, and materials that enhance the visibility, accessibility, and effectiveness of fueling and hydration stations.
Ensure fueling areas remain organized, stocked, and presentation-ready.
Data Collection & Reporting
Collect and maintain usage data related to fueling and hydration services.
Prepare reports detailing product utilization, athlete participation, and fueling support provided by camp, sport, and National Governing Body (NGB).
Provide data and recommendations to support program assessment, budgeting, and future planning efforts.
Vendor & Relationship Management
Manage relationships with specialty vendors and suppliers.
Coordinate ordering, delivery schedules, product evaluations, and service expectations with vendor partners.
Identify opportunities for product enhancements and cost-effective purchasing solutions.
Athlete & Customer Service Support
Provide exceptional customer service to athletes, coaches, and guests utilizing fueling and dining services.
Assist in dining room and servery operations during high-volume service periods as needed.
Serve as a departmental liaison by introducing athletes to dining and fueling services and helping them navigate available resources.
Collaboration & Event Support
Work closely with the Athlete Life Program and other departments to coordinate athlete-focused events and activities.
Collaborate with Food & Nutrition team members to support special events, camps, and departmental initiatives.
Assist with additional departmental projects and operational needs as assigned.
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
Minimum High School graduate or G.E.D., with ability to read, write and comprehend at 12th grade level.
Associate degree or above preferred.
Valid driver's license to operate department motor vehicles.
ServeSafe certification required.
Minimum 3 years of experience as production chef/apprentice in quantity food production with knowledge of nutrition related food production.
Thorough knowledge of proper sanitation and safety practices as they relate to day-to-day responsibilities, and knowledge of Health Department regulations.
Knowledge of proper use of chemicals.
Follows OSHA regulations.
General knowledge of the care and safe usage of food service equipment and kitchen utensils - ability to be trained and certified on operation of equipment found in a commercial kitchen.
Ability to read recipes and understand measurements.
Ability to read and/or write production schedules.
Skilled in attractive presentation and display of food.
Organized and attentive to detail, ensuring all assignments are completed on time.
Computer skill level, to include database experience, excel, PowerPoint
Ability to display good customer service skill to both internal and external customers.
Maintains confidentiality on USOPC and department matters.
Well groomed, always demonstrates good personal hygiene.
Dependable, organized and demonstrated attention to detail.
Completes all work assignments.
Ability to work flexible schedule of various shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Hiring pay range $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. This Full-Time, Non-Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week. Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 5% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
