Asst Volleyball Coach Jv 8Th Grade

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful coaching experience with girls volleyball middle school age or higher
• Ability to meet the WIAA coaching certification standards
• Valid First Aid/CPR card
• Proven ability to organize and promote athletics programs
• Ability to communicate and work with student athletes, parents, and community members in a mutually supportive and positive manner

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The season begins on Nov. 30, 2026 and concludes Jan. 29, 2027. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of volleyball and experience in coaching, demonstrating effective skills, strategies, and techniques and the ability to take a concept/skill from learning through implementation to mastery; have a basic understanding of Gold Medal Squared concepts, be a role model with the skills to build a cohesive team; be a positive motivator and skilled communicator; work well with students, staff, parents, and the community. Individuals in coaching positions are responsible for developing fundamental skills and an understanding of the rules of the sport in participants, modeling and fostering cooperation, sportsmanship, and ethical behavior. Coaches collaborate with the coaching staff to determine the system of play to be used and develop and implement best strategies and methods to carry out the system. They are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for participants, ensuring their eligibility, and monitoring their behavior. performs other related duties as assigned.
