Here's a summary of responsibilities:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Network Engineer to join our IT team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in networking and gain hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems. You will work closely with senior engineers to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure.Here’s how you’ll have an impact:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points and UPS battery systems).
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Provide first-level technical support for network-related incidents and service requests.
- Perform routine network maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and patching.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Visio experience preferred but not required.
- Support network security initiatives, including access control and vulnerability monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support business operations.
- Participate in On-Call rotations or after-hours support as needed.
- Participate in IT projects, and other infrastructure improvement efforts.
- Maintain an organized and secure IT environment in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned, Including occasional domestic and international travel.
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or relevant work experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or infrastructure-related role.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANS, routing, switching, and cabling).
- Hands-on experience supporting or maintaining UPS battery backup systems.
- Familiarity with WhatsUp Gold or similar infrastructure monitoring platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to follow standard procedures and accurately document technical work.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Familiarity with networking hardware and operating systems.
- Exposure to ITIL practices and documentation standards.
- Relevant industry certifications such as Security+, Network+, CCNA/ACSP (preferred)
- Knowledge and/or experience with USOPC structure, Olympic and Paralympic Movement, or high-performance sport
- Ability to handle confidential information and communicate only to intended audience, especially pertaining to medical records
- Proficient computer skills in database management and analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse population including, but not limited to, athletes, coaches, administrative staff, physicians, volunteers, and other medical personnel
- Ability to deal with non-routine matters and special projects with minimum and/or specific instructions
- Passion for Team USA and the ideals of the Olympic & Paralympic movement

- Occasional after-hours or weekend work for maintenance, On-Call, or emergency support.

- Hiring pay range $60,000 - $65,000 per year.
- This Full-Time, Exempt, Temporary position is intended to work 40 hours per week for a 6-month period.
