Here's a summary of responsibilities: The Insights & Analytics team serves as a shared service supporting LA28, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, and related stakeholders across the Olympic & Paralympic ecosystem. The Associate Director, Fan Intelligence & Measurement will oversee the development of actionable insights around first-party fan data and marketing analytics performance to inform strategic decision making across fan engagement initiatives. This role will oversee a small but high-impact team responsible for reporting, analytics, data storytelling, dashboard development, and advanced fan data modeling. They will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders including integrating marketing, brand strategy, content/digital product, partnerships, infrastructure, and more. This leader will provide strategic recommendations grounded in data, establish analytical standards, develop scalable reporting solutions, and ensure that insights across campaigns, audiences, and channels tell a cohesive story. The ideal candidate will have both analytical rigor and technical fluency, as well as strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Marketing & Fan Intelligence Strategy
Define and execute the roadmap for the marketing analytics and first-party fan data pillar of the Insights & Analytics team, supporting initiatives across Team USA, LA28, and other key stakeholders
Synthesize fan behavior, campaign performance, digital engagement, and audience trends into clear narratives that connect to broader brand strategy
Develop repeatable and scalable KPI frameworks that ladder up to department-wide objectives, monitor brand performance, and establish defensible benchmarks and targets
Deliver strategic recommendations that improve fan acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization
Serve as the subject matter expert on marketing analytics and fan intelligence, providing strategic guidance on data capture, naming conventions, data governance, measurement, analysis, and reporting
Improve self-service analytics adoption across the organization and proactively identify opportunities to help stakeholders infuse data-driven insights into their daily processes

Reporting & Dashboard Development
Oversee a comprehensive portfolio of reporting deliverables that combine first-party fan data and omnichannel campaign performance across organic social, paid social, web, email, and other marketing channels
Ensure reporting deliverables and analytical outputs are consistent, accurate, and scalable, and aligned to stakeholder needs
Oversee development and maintenance of executive and operational dashboards, ensuring reporting connects to broader org objectives and enables effective decision-making
Drive the evolution and modernization of reporting experiences across PPT reports, Tableau dashboards, and emerging reporting tools (e.g., Streamlit), including interactive and self-service solutions
Review and elevate analytical outputs to ensure findings are appropriately contextualized, connected across data sources, and translated into clear business recommendations
Collaborate with fan data platform and engineering teams to improve data accessibility, reporting infrastructure, and scalable analytics solutions

First-Party Data Analysis & Audience Profiling
Oversee the analysis, profiling, and storytelling around fans in Team USA's first party database, including donors, merchandise purchasers, email audiences, NGB members, and other fan groups
Identify opportunities to better understand and target fans through segmentation, cohort analysis, behavioral analysis, audience overlap, and performance measurement
Connect first-party fan data and behavioral insights to broader Consumer Insights work, including research, survey-based segmentation, demographics, and social listening
Oversee socialization of the fan narrative to internal and external stakeholders, helping them understand our fan profile and opportunities to deepen engagement
Provide targeted recommendations to optimize engagement with subsets of Team USA fans across various platforms
Build and optimize advanced analytics and predictive data models within Snowflake, collaborating closely with the fan data platform and engineering team

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Serve as the primary analytics thought partner to marketing, product, digital, partnerships, sales, and leadership teams
Centralize and prioritize marketing analytics and fan data requests, balancing stakeholder needs, team capacity, and organizational priorities
Partner cross-functionally across a range of internal and external stakeholders to operationalize insights into marketing and fan engagement strategies
Manage and guide agency and third-party vendor relationships (e.g., paid media, web partners, consulting services), ensuring services align with internal analytics strategy and data requirements
Lead presentations and insights discussions with senior stakeholders, translating analytical findings into clear, business-focused storytelling and recommendations
Establish and reinforce data and measurement governance standards, partnering with department leaders and the Infrastructure team to address data quality, accessibility, and reporting needs
Work collaboratively with teams across Team USA, LA28, and other key stakeholders to understand evolving analytics needs, improve existing services, and identify opportunities to increase the impact of insights

People & Team Leadership
Manage and mentor a team of analysts and data scientists supporting marketing analytics and first-party fan data
Help determine and recommend priority workstreams based on stakeholder needs, balancing team bandwidth across various initiatives
Review team's analytical approaches, reporting, presentations, and recommendations to ensure quality, rigor, and connection to strategic objectives
Coach team members to strengthen analytical thinking, business acumen, data storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
Establish analytical standards, best practices, and processes that promote consistency and quality across deliverables
Drive collaboration across the Insights & Analytics pod, as well as the broader Fan Insights & Technology team
Templatize recurring work and develop scalable processes that increase team capacity and reduce manual effort
Foster a culture of proactive, strategic analytics that moves beyond reporting performance to identifying implications, opportunities, and data-backed recommended
Perform other duties as assigned

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
Bachelor's Degree in Sport Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
Advanced Degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence, or Market Research preferred
7+ years in marketing analytics, consumer intelligence, or related fields
2+ years people leadership experience
Strong experience with:
SQL
Snowflake
Tableau
First-party/customer data analytics
Marketing and campaign performance analytics
Dashboard and reporting strategy, development, and optimization
KPI development and creating measurement frameworks
Audience segmentation, profiling, and behavioral analytics
Preferred experience with:
Python
Streamlit
Advanced or predictive analytics, including propensity modeling
Sports, entertainment, media, or consumer-facing digital ecosystems
Strategic and analytical thinker who can translate complex data and business questions into clear insights, recommendations, and actions

Here's some more information you need to know:
Hiring pay range $105,000 - $112,000 per year. This Full-Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week. Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 15% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
