Join the UMBC Sports Medicine team and make a meaningful impact on the health, well-being, and performance of Division I student-athletes. The Associate Athletic Trainer will provide comprehensive, patient-centered health care to the Women's Basketball Team while working collaboratively with team physicians, athletic trainers, sports performance professionals, and other members of our multidisciplinary health care team. This position plays an integral role in injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency care, and return-to-sport while developing strong relationships with student-athletes and supporting their overall health and well-being. The successful candidate will join a collaborative Sports Medicine and Sports Performance department that values professional growth, communication, innovation, and providing an exceptional student-athlete experience.

Degree from a CAATE-accredited athletic training program (Master’s degree preferred)

Current BOC certification

Maryland Athletic Trainer licensure (or eligibility)

Current CPR/AED certification for the Professional Rescuer

Minimum of two years of collegiate or equivalent athletic training experience

Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional healthcare to student-athletes.
