Assistant Women's Basketball Coach/Admissions Counselor

The university is seeking a qualified candidate that demonstrates exceptional coaching abilities in basketball for the Women’s basketball team. The successful candidate must also possess qualifications for a collateral assignment in the Admissions Office as an Admissions Counselor. This unique position will be deployed as an established champion for the basketball teams by aligning recruitment efforts in Admissions. The successful candidate will need to have demonstrated a successful career of working with students of various backgrounds, which may include low income, first generation, and students from urban schools. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree.

Basketball coaching or playing experience at high school, club, or collegiate level.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills such as excellent written and public speaking.

Experience working with students from various backgrounds, which may include low income, first generation, and students from urban schools.

Ability to lift/transport materials up to 35lbs.

Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

Valid driver’s license and a two year driving history.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of NCAA Division III and WIAC rules.

Collegiate coaching or playing experience.

Collegiate recruiting experience.

Strong organizational and event planning skills

Ability to adapt and manage multiple competing priorities

Ability to use and learn multiple computer technologies (such as Peoplesoft, ImageNow, TargetX CRM, Microsoft Office)

Experience in marketing, admissions or a related area of higher education
