Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach – Argo High School

Argo High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach to support the development of our student-athletes both on and off the court. This position works closely with the Head Coach to implement team strategies, organize practices, and foster a positive, competitive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and conducting daily practices, drills, and game preparation
• Support player development, skill instruction, and position-specific coaching
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic accountability
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities
• Help with game-day operations, film breakdown, and scouting reports
• Ensure compliance with school, conference, and IHSA guidelines

Qualifications:

• Previous volleyball coaching or playing experience preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, staff, and parents
• Must meet all district and IHSA coaching requirements (including certifications)
