Women’s Lacrosse Assistant Coach

Skidmore College – Athletics, Fitness and Recreation Department

Skidmore College’s department of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation invites applications for a full time 10-month position with benefits as Assistant Coach for Women’s Lacrosse. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a competitive NCAA Division III program while gaining hands-on coaching and administrative experience.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with all aspects of daily practices, training sessions, and game preparation

Coaching and mentoring student-athletes in a competitive, inclusive environment

Recruiting prospective student-athletes in alignment with the values and academic standards of Skidmore College

Scouting opponents and contributing to game strategy

Managing film exchange and game film breakdown

Overseeing the team’s social media presence and content creation

Supporting team operations including equipment room responsibilities and home game management

Building positive relationships and communicating effectively with student-athletes, families, faculty, staff, and alumni

Other duties as assigned by the head coach

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Collegiate lacrosse playing experience

Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills

Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes

Current CPR and AED certification or ability to obtain

Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

Collegiate coaching experience

Familiarity with video editing software and social media platforms (e.g. Hudl, Instagram, X/Twitter)

This position is renewable. Some weekend and evening hours are required.

Pay Range: $30,000 - $35,000
