The Hillsdale Local School District is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and student-centered individual to serve as the 9th Grade Girls Volleyball Coach. The successful candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the court while supporting the overall goals and philosophy of the Hillsdale Volleyball Program.

Position Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions for the 9th grade volleyball team.
• Teach and develop volleyball fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all student-athletes.
• Work collaboratively with the varsity and junior high coaching staffs to ensure program consistency and player development.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school staff, and administration.
• Ensure compliance with all Hillsdale Local School District, OHSAA, and league policies and regulations.
• Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices and contests.
• Promote academic success, positive character, and responsible citizenship among team members.

Qualifications

• Previous volleyball coaching or playing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a coaching staff.
• Must meet all Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, OHSAA, and Hillsdale Local School District coaching requirements, including:
  • Valid Pupil Activity Permit (or ability to obtain one)
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
  • Completion of all required background checks and coaching certifications
